The Thriving Artist

Why am I the one to help?

I gave up being a struggling artist ages ago.

After graduating with a degree in music and moving to NYC to pursue singing and acting full time, I realized I hadn’t been prepared to actually live well as an artist.

I had crippling performance anxiety.

Upleveing my crafts felt elusive and confusing.

Making money felt like something that other people who chose the “safe and responsible” way did.

Exhaustion felt like my closest roommate.

On top of it all, I was hustling with a million side gigs that weren’t connected to any of my passions and getting no where in my career.

My one saving grace was that I didn’t have a tolerance for feeling like crap all the time.

So, one step at a time, I decided to overhaul each area of my life.

And like every AuDHDer I know, I gave way to my naturally inclination to hyper focus and I became qualified in each tool that I was studying to better myself:

I became certified as a fitness and nutrition coach and worked for clients one on one and in group for over 10 years to help them change their physique, increase their energy, and just feel better in their body without spending hours in the gym and counting calories.

I became certified as a life coach with advanced training in mindset and somatic experiencing. For years, I used these tools to support my clients in over coming mental blocks and improving their emotional well being so that they can feel more empowered to do hard things build the health and lifestyle that felt good to them.

I used these tools to get over performance anxiety, rejection, and failure intolerance myself and then spent the last 5 years helping dozens of clients get over performance anxiety and increase their confidence.

I stopped letting singing and acting feel hard and I started researching what was actually important in these crafts. I got better myself. Then, combining my theory, musician, and mindset/emotional skills from my Bachelor’s of Music degree and my life coaching training, I’ve worked with hundreds of clients to help them do the same.

I’ve been teaching and coaching for the past 15 years along side my work as active professional singer and actor. I have always found it important as a coach to be active in the industry and to continue being the main student and client of my work.

I know the demands of our chosen path and I live it every day. My goal is to continue to study and learn and improve on this lifestyle myself so that I can then pass this experiencing and knowledge onto my clients so they can do it even better and faster than me.

My clients include professional voice over artists, singers, actors, and instrumentalists who are at the top of their respective fields…

AND this is a home for any artist who is serious and committed to their artistry who want to prioritize sustainability, health, well being, and joy in their lifestyle as an artist.

Because being an artist is WHO you are. Not what you do. Not how you do it. So, choose to be it –thriving.
