Being a struggling artist used to be lauded as the virtuous act.
We sacrifice for our art.
We bleed for our art.
We climb mountains and hit rock bottom to become great at our craft.
One day I realized… that’s absolutely NUTS!
And it’s not necessary.
Getting better at our craft shouldn’t make us feel like we are reaching the brink of insanity.
Our health and finances shouldn’t have to be depleted to make art.
Making art and living as an artist should FEEL GOOD.
So, I say, gone are the days of the struggling artist.
Here, we are artists who thrive!
